Our Story
Carras Community Investment, Inc. was founded on the belief that capital must serve communities historically excluded from it. Long before “equitable development” became a policy term, our founder was organizing against redlining, advocating for mortgage access, and pressing financial institutions to reinvest in neighborhoods they had written off.
What This Means for Our Clients
We understand the regulatory, financial, and political dimensions of reinvestment — because we have operated in all three arenas. Our approach combines grassroots insight, institutional fluency, and capital structuring expertise to advance community-centered growth.
The language has changed over the decades — redlining, community reinvestment, equitable development, abundance — but the core question remains the same: who has access to capital, and who does not?
